Terms of Service

Effective 26 August 2026 · Version 2026-08-26

In short

Resona is an experimental ambient-audio and AI-assisted interface service. Use it lawfully, protect your account, and do not rely on it as medical treatment or emergency support.

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your access to the hosted Resona service, including its ambient synthesizer, binaural-audio controls, AI interface agent, user workspace, Demo account, and related account features (the “Service”). By creating an account or entering the Demo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who may use Resona

You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If you are a minor under the law where you live, use Resona only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. Resona is not directed to children under 14, and they must not create or independently use an account.

3. What the Service provides

Resona generates browser-based ambient sound, binaural tones, noise, chord progressions, and customizable interfaces. Its AI agent can create or modify files inside your protected Resona workspace. Features may be experimental, change over time, or occasionally be unavailable.

The Demo is a shared showcase with restricted, prebuilt outputs. It is not private storage. Do not enter personal, confidential, or sensitive information into the Demo.

4. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate registration information, verify your email when required, keep your password secure, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise. Exabyte-only accounts are also governed by the authentication and lifecycle controls of Exabyte Accounts.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use Resona to violate law or another person’s rights; harass, exploit, threaten, or deceive others; distribute malware; probe or bypass security controls; overload the Service; access another user’s account or files; generate illegal or seriously harmful material; or instruct the AI agent to perform actions you are not authorized to perform. Automated access is permitted only through interfaces expressly provided by Resona.

6. Health and safety

Resona is a creative and relaxation product, not a medical device or healthcare service. Ambient audio, binaural beats, meditation prompts, and AI responses do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition and are not professional medical or psychological advice. Do not use the Service while driving or where reduced attention could be dangerous. Keep volume at a safe level and stop listening if you experience discomfort. In an emergency, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional.

7. AI-generated results

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, unsuitable, or unexpected. Review generated pages, code, instructions, and content before relying on them. Resona applies safety checks and workspace restrictions, but these controls cannot guarantee that every output is correct or risk-free. You remain responsible for how you use or share generated output.

8. Your content and workspace

You retain any rights you have in prompts, files, configurations, and other content you submit. You grant the Service a limited permission to host, copy, process, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the features you request. You must have the rights needed to submit your content and must not upload material that unlawfully infringes another person’s rights.

9. Resona software and branding

The Resona source code is made available separately under the GNU General Public License version 3 in its public repository. That software license does not automatically grant rights to Resona names, logos, hosted-service content, or third-party assets. Third-party components remain subject to their own licenses and terms.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Resona and request account deletion. Resona administrators may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service, comply with law, respond to account lifecycle events, or address a material breach of these Terms. Exabyte Accounts may centrally suspend, disable, disconnect, or anonymize a linked identity; Resona will enforce those states as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Availability and changes

The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. Features, providers, storage limits, and availability may change. Where reasonably possible, material changes will be communicated through the Service. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, permanent preservation of user content, or compatibility with every device or browser; keep independent copies of important files.

12. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or error-free operation. The maintainers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, loss of data, or loss caused by reliance on generated output. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the Service or legal requirements change. The effective date and version appear above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice and may ask you to accept the revised Terms before continuing.

14. Contact and disputes

Please first contact the Resona maintainers so concerns can be addressed informally. Applicable mandatory consumer and data-protection laws remain unaffected. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of the deployment and the user, including mandatory rules that cannot be waived.

Contact: Resona GitHub Issues. Do not post passwords, API keys, health information, or other sensitive personal information in a public issue.
